I find myself consistently enamored with your reflections — both the spot-on content and the gentle way in which you frame it, allowing others the space to wonder, question, and rethink without feeling pushed or judged. You seem to be pulling the thoughts from my own mind so many days, but you offer them in a far more accessible way than I can currently express them! Thank you so much for the work you’re doing. It matters.
Love this! I remember seeing in my kids the absolute love and joy of learning and exploring. It was a key reason for why our schooling path looked very nontraditional. I just wanted them to be able to lean into that and not lose that excitement and freedom.
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed the piece. Yes absolutely, me too. If we stop to notice the beautiful learning that children demonstrate naturally, it often leads to us questioning the standard path. That’s the essence behind my work in fact :-)
Found this piece a few months after discovering your substack and oh my! This is exceptionally beautiful! You begin with recognizing the grace of respectful observation and it becomes pure poetry! So moving, and also an obvious truth one comes to as we relax into being human. With our children. :) ❤️

Yes, I am enjoying reading your posts! We ended up on an unexpected unschooling journey. It was the best thing!
Katy Purviance and I met just over a week ago to chat about this. We're doing another Live this weekend.
Great to connect with like-minded individuals!
Thank you for reading and I agree it's great to connect. Yes I watched and enjoyed your conversation with Katy. Will look forward to the next one!
